During peak hours of weekdays, Bus No. 653 provides one-way direct routes to the CBD in the morning and back in the evening. A short stroll away, residents can ride Bus Nos. 67, 75, 170, 171, 178, 184 and 961 which ply Upper Bukit Timah.  In addition, ComfortDelgro's Hume Avenue shuttle bus service provides air-conditioned rides to and from the Bukit Batok MRT station. 

With the opening of Downtown Line 2 on 27 Dec 2015, Symphony Heights residents now enjoy via the Hillview Station, the convenience of the efficient MRT system making major locations in Singapore easily accessible.  Going to the Little India and Chinatown is now just a train ride away.  The Hume Station is expected to open in 2025, though the official date has yet to be announced.  For more stops refer to Downtown Line Rail Map.

HillV2, a 10 to 15 minute stroll away in the Hillview area, offers two levels of gourmet delights and lifestyle services. A free shuttle service that runs almost every 40 mins during the day and early evening. It brings you there even faster, within 7 to 10 mins (for actual schedule please click here).  The shuttle service also has drop-offs and pick-ups at the Gombak and Hillview MRT stations.  Rail Mall, a shorter walk away, also offers a good variety of eating joints, restaurants and supermarket.
